A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies the results. Dolores County Criminal History does not retain or record those search terms on its own systems.

An email or contact submission may be retained so a response can be provided. Messages remain within the organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Its general information points readers toward official custodians such as the Dolores County Sheriff, Dolores Combined Court, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, and the Colorado Sex Offender Registry. Visitor information is not compiled into consumer reports or outside criminal-record files, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted through a search is governed by that provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider controls its own retention and disclosure rules. Review those terms before sending a query.

Links may lead to the Dolores County Sheriff's Office, Colorado court portals, state agencies, legal-aid resources, or third-party search services. Once an external link is opened, the destination's privacy rules apply. Check them before providing personal information.
